Katie named Lancashire’s ‘Employee of the Year’

Katie Beckham, senior account manager at The Write Angle, has been announced as the county’s ‘Employee of the Year’, receiving the prestigious accolade at the recent Lancashire Business Awards.

Following her success throughout the year at the Chorley-based marketing communications agency, the whole team attended the sell-out event at Stanley House Hotel in Mellor on 13 November 2014, where they had also been shortlisted in the ‘Best PR and Marketing Agency’ category.

The Write Angle has experienced a year of growth, with client wins including Lancashire Sport Partnership (LSP) and EPoS specialist, Nisyst, as well as Pearson Solicitors, Praetura Asset Finance and Champion Accountants.

Katie, who joined The Write Angle in January 2010, commented: “I’m so honoured to have won this award. I’ve always been a hard worker and this accolade is testament to that. To be up against such tough competition and emerge victorious is amazing and I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me, as well as the judging panel.”

The Lancashire Business Awards are hosted annually by Downtown Lancashire in Business and celebrate those who have contributed to making the county a great place to do business.

Julie Cheston, client services director at The Write Angle, added: “Katie is a great ambassador for The Write Angle and she embodies our company values in spades: hard working, creative, clever and successful. We’re so chuffed she has been recognised for her efforts and success by the Lancashire business community and we look forward to creating great work together over the next five years.”
