The Write Angle Eyes Hat-Trick of Awards

Chorley-based marketing communications agency, The Write Angle, has been shortlisted for three Lancashire Business Awards.

The company is vying for the title of ‘Best PR & Marketing Agency’, whilst junior account director, Katie Beckham and account manager, Jennifer Whittaker, are up for ‘Female Networker of the Year’ and ‘Employee of the Year’ respectively.

Hosted by Downtown in Business, the awards recognise excellence within the Lancashire business community and boast a shortlist that features some of the best companies and individual personalities that the region has to offer.

The nominations follow a successful few months for the Buckshaw Village-based company, with the agency securing a flurry of new clients including Sika Liquid Plastics, high voltage (HV) engineering contractor, EDS Group, Delta Balustrades and international lighting specialist, Festive Lights.

Katie Beckham’s nomination follows six years with The Write Angle, during which time she’s proved instrumental in nurturing relationships and driving new business activity. Jennifer Whittaker joined the company in 2014 and has excelled as a PR and marketing practitioner, whilst quickly climbing the ranks.

Julie Cheston, client services director at The Write Angle, said “To be shortlisted for not one but three awards demonstrates what a company can achieve with a talented set of people driving it forward.

“We’ve built up an incredible team and work really hard to nurture in-house talent, all of whom contribute massively to our successes. Katie and Jennifer have both excelled during their time with us and are valued by clients and colleagues, and it’s great to see the Lancashire business community recognising their efforts as well as that of the entire agency.”

Votes are now been taken for the shortlisted candidates on the Downtown in Business website and the winners will be announced at Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa on Thursday 16 June.
